Every few years I chop my hair off -- short... really short. My hair is long now and I'm getting that itch to chop it. I nearly did today but then decided I'd simply do something with color so I got bright red streaks put in my hair and, I have to say, I like it!

That sounds really cool! I get bored with my hair easily. I am in the process of growing it out from a really really short Pixie Cut (a la the Cranberries) to maybe chin length. I will wear it like this for a year of two, then cut if off again and the whole thing starts over again.

I had to get my hair cut and dyed red for the play. I don't mind the colour so much, but I've worn my hair short for over two years, and was excited that it was growing out again. I think I want to get back to the shoulder length chip cut thang I had going a while back, but chances are that it will be short a while longer yet, simply because I snap during the growing out times and cut it way back. 6 weeks of repenting, wishing for length, one week of swearing about bad hair days, one day of searching for cute short styles, one hour of razor cuts and and the whole cycle starts anew.
