Pillows
When is it safe for a child to sleep with a pillow? The Son never slept with a pillow until he was 3 or older. The Daughter loves to find the pillow at night. I'm so overly paranoid, I never let her. Tonight as I was putting her to bed I wondered when mainstream families start using pillows and comforters and regular beds instead of a crib.

Love the new look, Julie!
I can't remember when Jordan started using a pillow, probably when she started sleeping in her bed which was around 17 mos I think? She did it totally on her own just like everything else she does, just one day slept in her bed. We never were strictly family bedders, just whatever works. Emily just started using a pillow a month or so ago - she has had blankets since about a year. She isn't in a bed yet. Hmmmm....

wierd I don't get a comment box with the actual blog...but its okay here... Arrow sleeps with a pillow - a buckwheat hull pillow. She just really likes it and she sleeps on her back so I've never worried. I guess she started around 16 months?? We are doing a modified night wean here too...same reason Arrow goes down in the "big bed, and WES joins her when he goes to bed, *I* sleep in her bedroom, til she wakes up to nurse (which if I'm not in bed with her is only once!!!!!) and then she joins me in her bed or if she wants both of us - in the big bed.
