PediaSure

While I was nursing The Daughter to sleep tonight I saw a commercial for Pediasure. This stuff appears to be some "child" formula. I can't figure out though why a parent would rely on nutrition in a can? A symptom of our "quick fix" society or just a marketing ploy? Do parents really waste their money on this stuff?

I think it's supposed to be for kids who are seriously picky eaters and are really underweight, who aren't being breastfed. :-( Either way, I agree that it's nasty stuff.

The commerical, however, indicates none of those situations but has a very happy and healthy, oh, probably 6 or 7 year old, sipping from it and a mom "resting assured" that her child's every nutritional need is met. :-( boggles my mind

It's so parents who feed their kids nothing but hotdogs, french fries and soda can stop feeling bad about it. Why bother trying to get your child to eat vegetables when you can just give them this wonderful little can of instant nutrition?

Who is the little girl in your commercial? Thank you!!
