How do you stencil multiple

How do you stencil multiple fairies in one day when you have only 10 brushes and each fairy takes about 9 brushes to complete? Do people really buy like 50 brushes to do a room in one day?

Knowing very little about stencilling, beyond the fact that you paint multiple times over a picture with various colours and various stencil bits... why not just do the same base stencil & colour all around the room, before moving onto the next one? Or is that not how it's done?

I guess I should have clarified that there are 6 different fairies of all different colors plus ladybugs, butterflies, bees and a snail :) So, right now I'm able to do like one fairy at a time because I don't have enough brushes..at this rate, it'll take me months to finish Seren's room.

OMGosh, that sounds like a lot of work! But amazing.. It would be awesome to see the finished room.

If it were me doing this, I'd go out and get double the brushes, that way I'd be able to do twice as much and feel that much more productive. Or at the very least, one more brush.

That's what I did with my house painting brush, I only had the one so could only do so much with one brush before I had to wash it and then couldn't paint more with a wet brush. So I bought another brush, and it made such a difference! So I wanted to and I had the time, I could do two coats in one day.

LOL Love!!! Lucyna is right Mapout where you want everything, and then go colour by colour, if you have a few people it will go faster, but the secret is to plot it out then do one colour, and then change -its a basic flylady thing too instead of treating astencil as "finished a task" treat a colour as "finished a task". It sounds wonderful are you using the goddess design stencils?

Dirt, is that you?

No, not Goddess Designs... they are very cute..some are from this site, Whimiscal Walls, but the fairies I found at a store locally. The thing is that each fairy is a different color. Did you guys see the pictures I posted on my blog a couple weeks ago? Those are just two of the fairies. There are 6 total and they use completely different colors! I did the wording yesterday and it came out awesome. I think I'm going to do the rest of the stars today then the two color flying friends then do the rest of the fairies piece mail. I'd buy more brushes but those things are INSANELY expensive -- likr $4 a brush!
