How Much More?
I seriously just don't know how much more I can take. The Daughter just doesn't sleep... every hour most nights. I'm slowly withering away. I have no patience, no strength, no creativity, no energy... I'm angry, irritable and exhausted... and what choice do I have?

{{{Julie}}} I wish I could say something helpful here! Just wanted to give you some hugs and hope that Seren starts sleeping better soon. Sleep deprivation really, really sucks.

{{{{Julie}}}} I understand what you're going through. I've been suffering from sleep deprivation for too long as well.
If you're looking for ideas, I've decided to approach the problem more aggressively and am now using a combination of homeopathy and cranio-sacral therapy. It's been a week now and I see some definite improvements. Priya's getting a solid stretch between 7pm-11pm and is waking only 2-4 times after that before it's time to get up. Not great for most people, but such an improvement for us.
{{{Julie}}}} I hope this passes soon.

Did you take Priya to a homeopath? I have taken Seren to NAET appointments twice... the osteopath is so freaking expensive and the homeopath is right up there too... I just don't know how to afford these therapies. My accupuncturist is only $65 a visit but the other two are $150!!! My accupuncturist thinks it is some hormonal imbalance...maybe I should call my homeopath and see what he says.

$150?!? Oh my!
Our naturopath is also a homeopath - the whole family sees her as our primary HCP. She charges S$70-90 for a first visit and subsequent visits are always around S$30-50 including herbs and/or homeopathic rx. Our osteopath charges around S$70 per session. It's not cheap, but it's certainly not as expensive as what you are faced with. Also, our insurance company is British so it covers things like homeopaths, osteopaths, naturopaths, etc. for routine care.
Priya has been taking Dr. Reckeweg's R14 Quieta for the past week and it's really helping. I'm sure your homeopath could order some for you without charging you for a consultation.
NOTE: I didn't use the exchange rate to convert the prices because for people earning Singapore dollars, the cost as it relates to income is the same as if it were in the US in US dollars. Did that make any sense? LOL

All good mommies know those days of exhaustion and hopelessness. They do pass and are replaced by joy and laughter and peaceful snuggling and napping. Will you ever be well rested again? Well, somehow I doubt it. My oldest is 8 and I'm *still* waiting to catch up on sleep from when he was newborn. :)
Truly... you'll get through this and so will your kidlets. Try to schedule some time where someone can watch the kids so you can take a nice, long, uninterupted nap. You'd be surprised what three straight hours of sleep can do for the psyche.
